"UPC" stands for Universal Product Code. UPC bar codes were originally created to help grocery stores speed up the checkout process and keep better track of inventory, but the system quickly spread to all other retail products because it was so successful. Almost all items you purchase in a store now contain a UPC bar code and number.
UPCs are generally 12 digits long. Include all numbers below the bar code. For the example below the correct UPC number is 987654321098.
DVD Note: Many DVDs contain both ISBN numbers and UPC codes. Please use the UPC code when searching for a DVD as our system will return more information and typically a better offer when you do.
